Local Liberal Democrat Euro MP, Diana Wallis, visited Edlington on Friday 23rd March to take in an exhibition of children's work which is using a local church as a backdrop.

The Churches Conservation Trust has been working with local schools in South Yorkshire as a stimulus for creative work and Diana Wallis MEP was invited to see at first hand some of the work of both primary and secondary school students at St Peter's Church, Old Edlington.

She saw an exhibition of art and poetry produced by both primary and secondary school students as part of the project which Rural Development Worker, David Adgar, has been running to promote the use of church buildings within the community. Many of the students were on hand to provide an introduction to their work.
